Tenacity in Tamale

It's been two weeks since I posted a blog post (though only one since I wrote one). I didn't take time to think about what I was going to write about this time (since the focus of last week's unposted post was asking for your input) so you'll have to read it to find out. Right now there is about a 50% chance that it will end up being a profile about my community.

Boring Logistics

So this post is really just an update on where I am and what's up in the next few weeks. Hopefully it's only boring to me (I just wrote about five emails about it to various people) and most of you will find it somewhat interesting.

A Day at Play

This post is a continuation of the last in the sense that it is about the same topic and it addresses the same question of what I am doing in Ghana. There are two main differences between the two posts—1. This one will address the specifics of what I am doing 2. This post may be quite difficult to understand for what it is.

Recountability

I’ve just returned home after an eventful 2 weeks and I feel obligated to give a bit of an update as to what the heck is going on. I hope to explain a bit about the placement in holistic terms and what it looks like going forward.

Village Life

I recently spent a week living in a very rural village. It is called Mtukwa village and is located about 15km away from Bua. The man I was staying with is a very successful farmer. He has managed to buy a truck, and also owns a TV which is hooked up to a car battery and inverter, although we never used it, I think because we didn't get any reception, and I don't think there would have been much on since he doesn't have a satellite dish. He grows maize during the rainy season (October to February) and vegetables for the rest of the year.

Explanitory Ramblings

Relentlessly the pleasant afternoons push on, hardly giving me a chance to fabricate excuses as to why my blog posting has been sporadic, inconsistent, and largely strange. I won't make up for last week, and this will be the only post this week, but I expect to be back on track in the near future (likely not next week though). This post is to explain what is going on with me in general, and what I'm up to for the next few weeks.

Absent Mindedness

I wrote on three different subjects for this week's blog post, but I didn't like any of the results. I'll try again soon, but to keep some regularity to the frequency of my posts and provide some form of explanation here's a haiku:
